By perfecting the piano, he paved the way for its extraordinary development during the nineteenth century. His first instruments date back to the early 1780s and have been appreciated by both Mozart and Beethoven. In the early 1800s, his workshop counted so much as twenty workers, including his adopted son, Joseph, with whom he signed his instruments. Our copy is based on the technical drawing of the original fortepiano at the Germanisches National Museum in Nuremberg.<\/span>\n\n \n\n
