On a black-stained walnut veneer, the unknown painter has wisely adorned the whole space with elegant chinoiseries. The inside of the lid has a red lacquer bottom and features phytomorphic decorations made of metal leaf. The instrument also has an additional soundboard that sits above the strings and it also features black lacquer reliefs.
