In seventeenth-century Naples, the arts \u2013 including musical-instrument making \u2013 were thriving. Among the many makers Francesco Nocerino brought to light, there is also Onofrio Guarracino. A leading Neapolitan harpsichord maker, his innovative methods and techniques allow us to recognise his work beyond any doubt. The small instrument, now at the Royal College of Music in London, has been drawn by Grant O\u2019Brien, who thoroughly studied Guarracino\u2019s work.<\/span><\/p>\n
